So, even though I’ve been wicked busy the past couple days, and haven’t had the time to farm the remaining WSG marks for my S1 Arena shoulder piece (honestly, the sooner it’s done, the better), I realized that I love WoW PVP.

I also absolutely hate it sometimes, ’cause I’m such a noob at it… Shot rotations? What’re those? I just know that most of my spec works in my favor, PVE or PVP, and that’s a good thing. (I’m kind of a Hunter savant. I don’t know what I’m doing all of the time, but somehow it usually works out thanks to lucky breaks and good reflexes.)

But, with the decrease in attack speed, my DPS took a 20 point hit by switching to Survival.

That extra crit sure is delicious, though.

I love dropping a freeze trap, popping rapid fire, and watching that look on a NE Huntard’s face when his cat’s a popsicle, a giant turkey of doom’s pecking his eyes out, and he gets nailed by an aimed shot crit to his head for almost 2k from a hunter two levels lower than him.

BOOM! HEADSHOT!

Track‘s a lover, not a fighter. Or is it too late to be both?

Say hello to a newly Survival-Specc’d Track, and his new partner in crime…JoanRivers.

*placeholder text here until I can put up an image*

Much credit is due to my good friend / fellow Kickassketeer Lyl, who came up with it amidst a stream of colorful obscenities directed at the Alliance in her BG… who just couldn’t leave a poor pally alone, and decided that 9v1′s a perfectly fair way to go about things.

Other than that, in sad news, Snuggles has been released into the unfamiliar wild of Terokkar Forest, outside of the Bone Wastes, to make space for my new Scorpid, Zumulus.

If anybody sees a giant white polar bear, feed him a nice big steak and tell him I’m sorry, but it was too tempting to have one of my guild’s healers on the damage meters, too.

-Track misses Snuggles. Why, cruel world, are we only limited to two spots in the stable?

Didn’t really last. Why?

Well, partly because I opted to pare back my work schedule…and partly because that involves taking a few days off a week to pursue more fruitful employment.

Which, of course, means, after a couple hours of job searching, I hang with my friends, play a little gee-taar, or get a little leveling done.

Not too bad.

Nagrand seriously makes every other part of Outland look positively craptastic by comparison.

So, so pretty. And full of things to skin and kill. Track feels at home, being level 65 and in Nagrand; it ain’t Mulgore, but the prey’s bigger, the fields are wide open, and there’s a giant freakin’ diamond in the middle of the map.

/end WoW-rant

So, have you been watching Dexter recently? Yes? No?

I hope you have. Seriously, some crazy ass stuff has gone down in the past few weeks. No spoilers for the few of you that do read this (all…wait, how many of you are there?) and don’t watch the show, but all I can say is HOLY CRAP…DOAKES. SLIDES. HOLY CRAP.

Also, a level 67 pally spanked me the other day. My PVP-fu is weak; I had wrecked a level 70 priest earlier (he had crap gear, in his defense), but I haven’t fought one of those self-healing, plate-wearing roaches in ages. This will not stand.

Besides, I was gonna PVP anyway.

-Track one-shotted the sheriff, but he did not shoot the deputy…that bubble-hearthing bastard.

In preparation for eventually spec’ing Survival, I’m brainstorming workable Hunter builds that’d let me inflict “Massive Quantities of Sustained, Ranged DPS”.

Now, the only question is – where should the last point go?
Track’s Plausible Survival / Marksman Build

Readiness would, no doubt, be totally awesome to have. Same goes for Wyvern Sting.

But that 6% extra crit damage with 5/5 Mortal Shots’d be so damn nice, too…I’m stumped.

HELP MEH!

I still believe that I owe you darlings a rant on why traffic lights should be blue… and I think that might have to be the next post.

But for now,  WoW-wise, I’m taking *yet* another break.

But this one’s for good reason! I swears it!

Well…it’s for the *job* reason. I’m working retail, need a full-time job. The hours are killing me, and I want to be able to have a life outside of work / occasionally raid with the motley crew of <Elegy> / be able to take more guitar lessons.

Also, it would be nice to see a future that doesn’t involve working on weekends, and has actual growth potential.

So, in order to do all these things, I must go corporate; one can argue about compromised values and the demerits of the cubicle-based economy all one wants, but at the end of the day, I’m in my early 20′s and living at home.

Thankfully, the basement’s rather nice.

-Track is still wrapping his head around wearing a suit and NOT referencing Scarface.

Seriously, I preordered the album, and now I find out that Jay-Z decided that it should only be bought in stores…I totally agree with him, too. I’m gonna be over at that store snappin’ up my copy faster than you can say HOVA.I just want Apple to give me my $10 back.

-Track-hova. Always timeless.

THIS.

Is my new axe.

After a slight detour in suit-shopping (for those of us with grander aspirations than retail computer stores) that nearly wrecked my car, I ended up at a local guitar shop looking straight at a used Gibson Explorer, black as sin and begging to be taken home for some ass-kicking.

Buuut, I’m sure that you don’t care about the guitar. You want to know how I escaped a near-death experience, correct?

Good. I like that story too.

Dexter, Season One.

Doctor Jones (Senior) had the holy grail;

I have Dexter, Season One.

It is a shiny, shiny beacon of happiness, much like watching Firefly, listening to Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying?, or reading Crime and Punishment.

After several on-and-off weeks of playing, Track’s Azerothian visa has finally come through, and he was able to book an express flight through the Dark Portal to Outland.

Hallelujah, praise Elune and pass the ammunition… it’s time to leave a trail of arrow-riddled demons, flayed ravagers, and dead boars that leads all the way from Hellfire to Shattrath.

Also, in a side note, I created two alts to mess around with. A druid (Which I actually like so far) and a blood elf rogue to channel my inner Dexter Morgan.

I’ve never liked rogues, though…
So why make one?
Because my fanboyish appreciation for the Dexter series far outweighs my disgust for playing a rogue.
